Work experience placement scheme

The scheme is available for school students aged 15-18 at the time of the placement in June and July.  Successful students will be offered a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 5 days.

The House of Lords administration is committed to increasing diversity & maintaining an inclusive workplace culture.  We welcome applications from all school students regardless of their ethnicity, race, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, age, marital status or whether or not they have a disability.

Demand for work experience placements in the House of Lords increases annually.  In 2016-17, we were able to offer 23 work experience placements; we received 197 completed applications.  The standard was extremely high, so we advise that you read the questions asked carefully, complete some research, consider you answers and, if necessary, revise your application before submitting.  All applicants are asked to read our policy and notes for guidance before applying.
