Canada-UK Inter-Parliamentary Group visits the UK

From 22-23 March 2012, CPA UK hosted a delegation of members of the Canada-UK Inter-Parliamentary Group, with the aim of enabling Canadian Parliamentarians to understand better the issues and opportunities facing UK parliamentary colleagues, with a specific focus on trade and investment.

Whilst in the UK, the delegation of three MPs and two Senators met with Lord Green of Hurstpierpoint, Minister of State for Trade and Investment, as well as Nigel Evans MP, First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means and Deputy Speaker, and Andrew Rosindell MP, Chair of the Canada APPG.

They also met with representatives of the FCO, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and HM Treasury to discuss issues such as the Eurozone and the Free Trade Agreement.
