Visit of the Trinidad & Tobago Speaker

On Monday 12 March 2012, the Hon. Wade Mark MP, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Trinidad & Tobago, visited Parliament to meet with UK colleagues and to attend the Commonwealth Day Observance Ceremony in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen in Westminster Abbey.

The Hon. Speaker was accompanied by a delegation of four Members from Trinidad & Tobago, including the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Dr Keith Rowley MP,  and Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Hon. Clifton de Coteau MP.

Whilst in Parliament, the delegation met with Diane Abbott MP and other members of the Caribbean APPG, and Baroness Benjamin and other members of the Trinidad & Tobago APPG.

They also met with delegates attending the 2nd Westminster Workshop on the Public Accounts Committee.
