Spouses and partners

Important information

Delegates can bring one spouse/partner.

No provision will be made for children of any age.

Those registered as a spouse/partner will be expected to share a double room with the conference delegate. 

Spouses/partners must register for the conference using the online registration system and must upload a photograph which will be used for their conference pass.


Delegates will be personally liable for the double occupancy fee charged by the hotel to cover the cost of breakfast etc (£10 per night); this fee should be paid directly to the hotel on check-out.

The fee

All spouses/partners will be charged a participation fee of UK £290 to cover some meals, transport, evening functions and some other costs as outlined in the programme. This fee should be received by the UK Houses of Parliament no later than Friday 8 July. Fees are payable only in UK £ Sterling by bank transfer or credit/debit card payment over the telephone. If your spouse/partner does not wish to participate in any element of the conference you will only need to pay the double occupancy fee directly to the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel. However your spouse/partner will not receive a conference pass, will not be permitted access to the conference area and will not be able to participate in any element of the conference including the evening events and Opening Ceremony.

You should not register your spouse/partner if they will not be participating in any of the conference. 

Spouses/Partners Excursion Programme

An optional excursion programme will be arranged for spouses/partners on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 July 2011.

This programme will include:

An additional charge of £250 will apply for this programme, in addition to the charge of £290 outlined above.

Places on the excursion programme will be limited and only confirmed once payment has been received.

Spouses/partners who choose not to participate in this optional programme will be responsible for the provision of their own lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday.
