Welcome to the Justice Committee's website.

The Committee is appointed by the House of Commons to examine the administration, expenditure and policy of the Ministry of Justice

The Committee also examines the work of the Attorney General, Solicitor General and the Treasury Solicitor's Department, the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). The Justice Committee also scrutinises draft Sentencing Guidelines issued under the authority of the Sentencing Guidelines Council

Until 6 November 2007 the Justice Committee was known as the Constitutional Affairs Committee
