In March 2012 Parliamentary Outreach launched 'Parliament Talks', a new series of regular, subject-specific events to be held around the UK.
Each event will feature a range of expert speakers who will explain and lead discussion on Parliament’s vital role in effectively scrutinising public policy and holding the Government to account.
Attendees at 'Parliament Talks' events will find out how the work of Parliament is particularly relevant to a specific subject or issue and the opportunities to engage with and influence the members and committees of the House of Commons and House of Lords.
'Parliament Talks Older People' will take place in Bournemouth on Friday 15 March 2013 11am-1pm.
‘Parliament Talks Older People’ is a free event in partnership with Age UK, providing an opportunity to find out how Parliament is holding the Government to account over older people issues. Tobias Ellwood, MP for Bournemouth East, Annette Brooke, MP for Mid Dorset and North Poole, and representatives from Age UK will be at the event to hear what you have to say about older people issues.
