The North West Parliamentary Outreach service aims to create awareness of the work of Parliament and show how the debates and decisions of the House of Commons and House of Lords are relevant to the region.
Working with Parliamentary Outreach
In partnership with organisations such as Community Network for Manchester, Liverpool Central CAB and Voluntary Sector North West, Parliamentary Outreach in the North West organises and participates in free training sessions, events and exhibitions.
Parliamentary Outreach activities in the North West
The following are examples of the types of events that Parliamentary Outreach can organise or participate in:
- Halewood - Thursday 17 May
An introduction workshop to the work and role of Parliament for Merseyside Partners in Policymaking. The session will also focus on the ways groups can engage with Parliament.
- Bolton - Thursday 21 June
An introduction to the work and role of Parliament for Bolton Carers Support. The session will cover the composition of Parliament and the difference between Parliament and Government it will also focus on the ways groups can engage with Parliament.
- Wirral – Monday 2 July
An introductory talk to the Bromborough U3A about the work and role of the UK Parliament.
