About Democracy by Design

Students studying art and design created portraits based on iconic people in thier own lives who represented modern ideas of the values of chilvalry.

The students visited Parliament to view its art and architecture, meet its decision makers and find out more about how the British political system works.

Working with industry profesionals, they then developed their ideas into colage, paintings, drawings and screen-prints. Their work was exhibited in the Houses of Parliament during September 2011.
