You are here:

We know not every school in the UK can get to London to visit the Houses of Parliament. Here are some of the ways to bring Parliament, Citizenship and political literacy into your classroom.

School Workshops

Our friendly and experienced team of Education Outreach Officers bring Parliament to your classroom by running workshops and assemblies. They help to inspire and engage your students in their political literacy lessons in schools around the country.

Speaker's School Council Awards

Parliament's Education Service runs Speaker's School Council Awards to engage your students with Parliament and politics and to reward excellence in school councils. Prizes for winning schools can include a day at the Houses of Parliament.

School Visits from MPs and Lords

Members of the House of Lords and the House of Commons regularly visit primary and secondary schools across the UK. Why not bring a Parliamentarian to your school to talk about the work and impact of Parliament, and its relevance for the lives of young people?

Annual Events

Help your students engage with Parliament by getting involved with Parliament Week, UK Youth Parliament and Youth Select Committee events.
