    This is a self-portrait so I could show what inspires me. I was inspired by the Olympics and I am wearing a Union Jack flag in my picture as many of the athletes wore their country flags in the Games. Art House was a primary school art competition which asked pupils to create an artwork on the theme 'Parliament and Me'. This is an on-line exhibition of the ten finalists in the People category.  Inspired by portraits of Baroness Amos by Paul Benney and Lord Falconer of Thoroton by Michael Taylor students created pieces based on people from their own lives or Parliament.
