Art House Exhibition - Events finalists

  • The Blitz, watercolour and acrylic on paper, Lily O'Neill, 2013

My artwork shows the bombing of Parliament during World War II. I used grey colours to create a sad effect and bright acrylics for the girl as I wanted her to stand out against the rubble. Image Copyright: Parliamentary copyright

  • The Thames Flotilla for the Jubilee, acrylic and collage on paper, Freya Ingram, 2012

The Armada paintings reminded me of the boats on the river Thames for the Jubilee and I loved the spectacle of the event. I used acrylic paint and images from magazines to create a montage painting of the event. Image Copyright: Parliamentary copyright
