That this House notes with concern reports of grave irregularities and massive acts of fraud in the elections in Haiti regarding counting and tabulation of votes; rejects any attempts to influence the electoral results through corruption or force; condemns violence against the tens of thousands of people, including human rights organisations, religious leaders and ordinary citizens who have been demonstrating peacefully against what they are calling an electoral coup d'├ętat; and urges the Government to offer every support to ensure that reports of fraud, violence and intimidation are fully investigated so that the people of Haiti have a legitimate and fairly elected government of their choice.
