That this House recognises the huge potential of crowdfunding for the future of charities, social enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses; is concerned that current proposed regulation is overly restrictive and may have a serious detrimental effect on the sector; further recognises that the vast majority of individual investments into crowdfunds are much less than £1,000; and further calls on the Government and the Financial Conduct Authority to reconsider their approach to regulation of the crowdfunding sector.
