FAIR ACCESS TO CARE SERVICES CRITERIA IN BRADFORD

That this House calls on Bradford Council to maintain its hard-fought-for Fair Access to Care Services criteria at the current moderate level; notes that withdrawing services to vulnerable residents at an earlier and cheaper level will increase later care costs and increase the prevalence of multiple chronic conditions; and more importantly notes that up to a quarter of current service users will lose care entitlements should the eligibility levels be increased, putting in jeopardy the safety, health and quality of life of up to 2,000 vulnerable residents in Bradford.
