That this House welcomes the announcement of the Gannett Foundation's new scheme to provide start up grants and training to young entrepreneurs both in Westmorland and across the North West; notes the exceptional flair and creativity of Cumbria's entrepreneurs across all sectors including retail, tourism and industry; commends the commitment of the Westmorland Gazette and Prince's Trust to identifying and nurturing the next generation of Cumbrian entrepreneurial talent; urges young people aged between 18 and 30 to grasp the opportunity to explore and develop their own business ideas; and calls on the Government to ensure Britain remains a place in which talented, driven young people from all backgrounds do not face barriers to pursuing business ideas of their own.
