BBC CHILDREN'S CHANNELS

That this House congratulates BBC children's channels CBBC and CBeebies on their tenth anniversary this month; notes the quality and range of the predominantly British-made programmes; highlights the educational and entertainment values around CBBC shows such as Horrible Histories, Blue Peter and Newsround; welcomes the learning through play philosophy of CBeebies which has recently been crowned BAFTA's Children's Channel of the Year and brings young children such delights as Justin's House, Something Special and In the Night Garden; and wishes both channels continued success for the future.
