COMBAT STRESS CAMPAIGN

That this House congratulates Combat Stress onits ongoing work to support ex-service personnel throughits organisations in Scotland and England and on marking World Mental Health Day 2011 with the launch of its campaign to overcome the stigma of mental health disorders that prevent many armed forces veterans from seeking help; notes with concern the recent survey carried out by Combat Stress which found that 81 per cent. of veterans who responded felt ashamed or embarrassed about their mental ill health; and urges the Government to respond positively to the Combat Stress campaign.
