FOOD WASTE

That this House recognises that the issue of food waste has still not been properly addressed; notes that too much food is sent to landfill or composting; and calls on the Government to require all large food retailers and manufacturers to report the tonnage of food waste from their businesses on at least an annual basis in order to improve transparency and to encourage businesses to compete with each other based on their environmental credentials.
