SUICIDE WEBSITES

That this House is deeply shocked by the tragic death of 13 year old Imogen D'Arcy, who took her own life after visiting websites which advocated suicide and gave information on how people could take their own life; sends its deepest condolences to Imogen's family and applauds their bravery for speaking out against the types of website Imogen visited; fully backs the campaign by the Yorkshire Evening Post to ban these websites and urges as many people as possible to sign the campaign petition; is aware that Government has promised to act to close down these websites and prosecute those responsible for promoting suicide; and urges that this action happens as soon as possible, so that no more young people take this tragic route.
