ANTHONY MINGHELLA

That this House mourns the sudden and untimely death of Anthony Minghella, Oscar-winning film director, playwright, opera director, extremely effective Chairman of the British Film Institute, and far from least, charming and genial human being who will be sorely missed, not only by his family, to whom this House offers profound condolences, but to all who care about artistic life that is at once accessible and ennobling.
