EMMER GREEN PRIMARY SCHOOL AND SCHOOL EXPANSION

That this House supports the parents, teachers and governors of Emmer Green Primary School in Reading East constituency in their aim to expand its current pupil capacity; expresses its alarm that many popular local schools are grossly over-subscribed; believes that it is unacceptable for parents to be forced to drive in heavy traffic from one end of Reading to another in order to place young children into different schools due to a lack of local school places; and calls on the Government to make funding available to bring about the expansion of successful and popular local schools.
