THE COMPTROLLER AND AUDITOR GENERAL'S ACCESS TO THE BBC

  • Session: 2004-05
  • Date tabled: 06.04.2005
  • Primary sponsor: Leigh, Edward
  • Sponsors:

That this House believes that the National Audit Office should be given full rights of access to the BBC, that the Comptroller and Auditor General should decide his own subjects for value for money studies as he does for all other organisations for which he reports to Parliament, that this would not interfere in any way with the BBC's editorial independence and that the Charter Renewal provides the ideal opportunity to introduce these reforms.
