That this House notes that the honourable Member for Guildford stated her opposition to the Government's plan for house building in Surrey in the Westminster Hall debate on 30th October; contrasts this with the stance taken by several Liberal Democrat councillors on Serplan who voted in favour of the Government's house building targets; calls upon Liberal Democrat councillors to confirm that the honourable Member for Guildford was correct in stating that the 'Liberal Democrats have reviewed those views and will not be voting in the same way again; and demands that Liberal Democrats stop facing both ways at once on the Government's housing building targets.

leave out from 'House' to end and insert 'notes that Surrey LGA and Guildford BC have consistently opposed extra housing on top of that identified in the SERPLAN proposal for homes in the South East; calls on the Government to review the proposal which would mean an extra 13,000 houses in Surrey with a risk that a large number of those houses would end up in Guildford;and emphasises that the honourable Member for Guildford and her Liberal Democrat colleagues have always prioritised the social and environmental concerns of residents and commuters in Surrey and will continue to fight, on behalf of those interests.'.
