    That this House supports National Marriage Week; notes that recent surveys have shown support for marriage ranging from 75 per cent. of the population to 84 per cent. among young people; is concerned at the limitations of the public consultation exercise conducted by SCAA into Values in Education and the Community and regrets that marriage was excluded from the original report; notes that both the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church have expressed concern regarding its lack of support for marriage and have called for the report to promote marriage; supports the promotion of marriage between a man and a woman as the ideal foundation for family life; and calls on the Chief Executive to pass the final report to the Secretary of State without further delay.
