That this House draws attention to the Government's fraudulent unemployment figures which ignore the latest Labourforce Survey which shows unemployment about 302,000 higher than the Government's claimant count and further ignores the findings of the Employment Policy Institute that the number of jobless people who say that they want a job is well over four million, and not the 1.8 million registered by the Government's deliberately flawed claimant count; and calls on the Government to come clean on the true level of unemployment and the job insecurity and human sufdfering that unemployment causes in pre-election Britain.

leave out from `the' to end and add `Opposition's failed attempts to discredit the unemployment figures produced by independent civil servants; notes that the international comparison methods of unemployment produce broadly similar figures; acknowledges reports that Germany excludes two million people on special schemes from its unemployment figures; and further notes that on any comparable basis unemployment in Germany and France is significantly more than that in the United Kingdom with unemployment in Dover half that of Calais.'.
