WATER CHARGES (AMENDMENT) BILL

    That this House, noting the strength of all party support for outdated rateable values to be replaced by council tax bands as the basis for water and sewerage charges, for domestic premises with unmetered supply, welcomes the increasing acceptance of the value of such a transfer by the water service companies; and urges Her Majesty's Government to take advantage of the Water Charges (Amendment) Bill tabled by the honourable Member for North Cornwall to bring forward proposals for this purpose.
