That this House regrets the decision of the Government to refuse to extend to others infected with HIV through blood transfusion the special help given to haemophiliacs; considers that a fatal infection by National Health Service treatment is no ordinary medical accident; believes it is unreasonable to penalise people infected in this way because of the Government expectation that they should depend on insurance and family support; and calls upon the Government to treat equally all those given infected blood, whether haemophiliac or not, because they are bound together by the tragedy of their collective death sentence.
