To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many and which academies have closed in England since 2010.

There are now 6925 academies, including 432 free schools, studio schools and university technical colleges, which will provide over 230, 000 new school places when they reach capacity. Since 2010, 23 academies (0.3%) have closed permanently:
