Forms of identification

Visitors to the Parliamentary Archives searchroom must carry photographic identification which should be made available to Parliamentary security staff and Archives staff on request.

Acceptable forms of identification (must have photo):

  • Passport
  • Driving licence
  • National ID card
  • Student card
  • Warrant card
  • Government/local council staff ID card
  • Pensioner's bus pass
  • Parliamentary pass
  • British Library reader pass
  • The National Archives reader's ticket
