Disabled people: Blue Badge Scheme A question was asked by Lord Harrison and answered by Earl Attlee.
Government: cars A question was asked by Lord Hoyle and answered by Earl Attlee.
Armed forces: local overseas allowance A question was asked by Baroness Warwick of Undercliffe and answered by Lord Astor of Hever.
National Health Service: children's congenital heart services A question was asked by the Lord Bishop of Leicester and answered by Earl Howe.
Business of the House Baroness Anelay of St Johns, on behalf of Lord Strathclyde, moved that the debates on the motions in the names of Baroness O’Neill of Bengarve and the Earl of Listowel set down for today shall each be limited to 2½ hours. The motion was agreed to.
Media standards and media regulation (2½-hour debate) Baroness O’Neill of Bengarve moved that this House takes note of the relationship between media standards and media regulation. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
Children: looked-after children (2½–hour debate) The Earl of Listowel moved that that this House takes note of the standards of service for looked-after children and, in particular, the Government’s response to changes in residential childcare in the light of recent child protection failures. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
Treatment of homosexual men and women in the developing world A question was asked by Lord Lexden and, after debate, answered by Baroness Northover.
