Canterbury City Council Bill The Chairman of Committees moved that this House resolves that the promoters of the Canterbury City Council Bill, which was originally introduced in the House of Commons in session 2007–08 on 22 January 2008, should have leave to proceed with the bill in the current session in accordance with the provisions of Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills ). The motion was agreed to and a message was sent to the Commons.
Leeds City Council Bill The Chairman of Committees moved that this House resolves that the promoters of the Leeds City Council Bill, which was originally introduced in the House of Commons in session 2007–08 on 22 January 2008, should have leave to proceed with the bill in the current session in accordance with the provisions of Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills ). The motion was agreed to and a message was sent to the Commons.

12 Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Lord Strathclyde moved that it is desirable that a Select Committee be appointed to consider Her Majesty’s Government’s assistance and promotion of the export of products and services by Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, and to make recommendations, and that the Committee do report by 28 February 2013. The motion was agreed to.
13 Public Service and Demographic Change Lord Strathclyde moved that it is desirable that a Select Committee be appointed to consider public service provision in the light of demographic change, and to make recommendations, and that the Committee do report by 28 February 2013. The motion was agreed to.
14 Adoption Lord Strathclyde moved that it is desirable that a Select Committee be appointed to consider the statute law about adoption, and to make recommendations, and that the Committee do report by 28 February 2013. The motion was agreed to.
15  Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012 Baroness Garden of Frognal moved that this House takes note of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
16 Employment law Lord De Mauley repeated as a ministerial statement the answer given to an Urgent Question in the House of Commons.
17  Euro Area Crisis (EUC Report) Lord Harrison moved that this House takes note of the Report of the European Union Committee on The Euro Area Crisis (25th Report, Session 2010–12, HL Paper 260). After debate, the motion was agreed to.
