The House of Lords today launches its Facebook and YouTube channels, which will be used to publish exclusive Lords content and connect with users across the sites.
YouTube launches with a set of ‘Stories of Democracy’ interviews, featuring members of the Lords talking about their work and how they contribute to the democratic process.
The Lords Facebook page acts as a hub for Lords content, featuring tweets, photos, videos and more.
The new channels are in addition to the House of Lords Twitter account - @UKHouseofLords, which was set up in September 2011 and has over 11,700 followers.
The channels are managed by Lords staff to show how the Lords checks and challenges the UK government, and to offer new ways to keep in touch with what’s going on in the House.
