Members resume work in the chamber today (Tuesday 10 January) with Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill at the top of the agenda

Tuesday 10 January: Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill 

Members will continue line by line scrutiny of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill on day two of the committee stage. The first day of committee stage took place on 20 December, where amendments covering clause 1 of the bill came under the spotlight.

Wednesday 11 January: Welfare Reform Bill

Lords move on to report stage day three with further discussions of the Welfare Reform Bill. Amendments will cover issues such as the social, practical and environmental barriers facing disabled people.

Thursday 12 January: Debate on government policy

The first debate of the new year, moved by Lord Wills (Labour) focusing on goverment policy on electoral registration, will commence at 11.30am. Other speakers include:

Thursday 12 January: Debate on green agenda 

The second debate of the new year, moved by Baroness Smith of Basildon (Labour) focusing on the government's green agenda will start at 2pm. Other speakers include Lord Hanworth (Labour) and Lord Greaves.
