Chris Huhne resigns as Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change

Chris Huhne resigned from the Government as Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change on Friday 3 February.

New appointments

Edward Davey has been appointed to replace Chris Huhne as the new Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change. Edward Davey was formerly Minister of State for Business and Enterprise in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Norman Lamb will replace Edward Davey as Minister of State for Business and Enterprise. He was formerly a Government Whip and Chief Parliamentary and Political Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg.

Jenny Willott will replace Norman Lamb as a Government Whip in the House of Commons.
