The Speaker John Bercow hosted a reception for the Industry and Parliament Trust (IPT) at Speaker’s House

Also speaking at the event was Trustee and Chairman of the Fellowship Committee David Amess MP.

The event on May 11 was attended by supporters of the IPT including MPs and Peers (Fellows past and present), Senior House staff, Trustees, member companies and supporting businesses.

The Speaker praised the work of the IPT and encouraged continued dialogue between UK business and Parliament.

The IPT was established to promote industry and commerce and the efficient and effective administration of government for the benefit of the public.

This is achieved by promoting mutual understanding between legislators and wealth generators from all sectors of business.

The Speaker is one of the Presidents of the IPT along with the Rt Hon Kenneth Clarke QC MP and the Lord Speaker Baroness Hayman.
