Statement on life sciences

Secretary of State for Health, Andrew Lansley, made a statement in the House of Commons on Monday 5 December on the UK life science industry.

Life science industry

The life sciences industry spans pharmaceuticals, medical technology, biotechnology and industrial biotechnology. The Government have launched its Life Sciences Strategy and a review of innovation in the NHS.

Shadow Secretary of State for Health, Andy Burnham, responded to the statement on behalf of the Opposition.
