Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, moved a debate in the House of Commons on Thursday 28 October on the subject of the Comprehensive Spending Review.

Comprehensive Spending Review

Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, made a statement to the House of Commons on Wednesday 20 October on the Comprehensive Spending Review.

Comprehensive Spending Reviews set firm and fixed expenditure limits for Government Departments for a specific time period. Government departments use the money allocated to them to spend on public services.
