MPs debate future of the North West economy

Hazel Blears, MP for Salford and Eccles, opened a Westminster Hall debate on the future of the new economy in the North-West. Mark Prisk, Minister of State at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, responded to the debate on behalf of the Government.

Westminster Hall debates

Westminster Hall debates allow MPs to discuss issues of local or personal interest which rarely have time to be debated in the main Chamber of the House of Commons. MPs can discuss a variety of issues and receive a response from a government Minister.
