Leader of the House, Harriet Harman, made a statement to the Commons on allegations that a number of MPs had claimed to have influenced ministerial policy decisions.
Ms Harman said that these allegations had involved:
She told the House that the various permanent secretaries involved had now made inquiries, and assured the Cabinet Secretary that they were satisfied that there had been no improper influence on Government policy or ministerial decisions.
