The Committee is likely to question the Foreign Secretary on issues connected with the implementation of the EU’s Lisbon Treaty, especially the shaping of the new Lisbon Treaty posts and European External Action Service.
The Committee takes evidence from the Foreign Secretary in advance of the June and December meetings of the European Council (of EU Heads of State or Government). The European Council will meet in Brussels on 10-11 December.
