Michael Grade, Executive Chairman of ITV gives evidence to the House of Lords Communications Committee as part of its inquiry into the British television and film industries, at 11.30am.
Grade will be asked about ITV’s investment in new British programming and how it is being affected by the economic difficulties facing commercial television broadcasters; the case for changes to the regulatory arrangements under which ITV works, including the restriction on product placement; and for ITV’s views on training for the television industry and the proposed Project Canvas, which would provide on-demand programming via television sets by 2010.
