Introduction: new Member of the Lords

In a short ceremony at the beginning of business on 20 July, Sir Alan Sugar was introduced in the House of Lords as a life Peer.

Lord Sugar will be an enterprise adviser to the Government.

Introduction ceremonies - lasting for around five minutes - take place in the Lords Chamber before each Member is able to take their seat in the House.
