Inquiry into workings of the Cabinet Office continues

01 July 2009

The House of Lords Constitution Committee hears evidence at 11.00 am for its inquiry into the contemporary workings of the Cabinet Office and the centre of government

Giving evidence to the Committee at 11am will be Lord Turnbull, former Cabinet Secretary (2002-05) and Sir Robin Mountfield, former Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Office (1995-99).

The Committee's inquiry seeks to investigate the role of the Cabinet Office in the light of the changing nature of British governance, often characterised by a more diverse, fragmented, complex, pluralistic and decentralised policy-making arena.
