National Dementia Strategy

26 June 2009

Members of the Lords debated the quality of dementia care and the Government's National Dementia Strategy on 25 June.

The debate heard from Members with experience in psychiatry, care homes, health care, and charities associated with dementia. Subjects such as care quality, the nature of the disease, diagnosis, treatment and the financing of the National Dementia Strategy were discussed.

In the House of Lords Members may table questions for debate, usually up to two hours and a half, on a specific issue or matter of concern. A minister responds on behalf of the Government.
