MPs debate policing in the 21st century

12 June 2009

Keith Vaz MP, Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee, led a debate in Westminster Hall on the Committee's report, 'Policing in the 21st century'. The purpose of the debate was to discuss the issues raised in the report, to consider developments since it’s publication and to address the Government’s response

Westminster Hall adjournment debates allow MPs to consider issues of local or personal interest which rarely have time to be debated in the main Chamber of the House of Commons. They enable MPs to discuss a variety of issues and to receive a response from a government Minister.
