Lords debate impact of legislation on schools

19 June 2009

Members of the House of Lords debated the report by the Merits of Statutory Instruments Committee on "the cumulative impact of SIs on schools" on 19 June

Lords Select Committee reports are generally discussed either on the floor of the House (in the Chamber) or in Grand Committee (away from the Chamber).

Any Member of the Lords can take part and a minister responds for the Government.

The debate usually takes place once the Government has formally responded to the committee's recommendations.
