Lord Speaker gives speech on working with the voluntary sector

On Monday 11 May 2009, the Lord Speaker gave the CFA Annual Lecture at the Drapers' Hall in London to an audience of 400 people drawn predominantly from the charity and not-for-profit sectors.

Following the event, the Lord Speaker said:

"The theme of the speech was to highlight the positive relationship between Members of the House of Lords and the voluntary sector; and the impressive partnerships between Members and charities that have resulted in positive changes in legislation and in Government policy."
