Disabled Persons (Independent Living) Bill: third reading

13 May 2009

A Private Members' Bill, introduced by Lord Ashley of Stoke, completed its passage through the House of Lords on 12 May

The Disabled Persons (Independent Living) Bill was given a third reading and, as no changes were suggested, this Private Members' Bill passes to the House of Commons.

Third reading is the final opportunity for Members of the House of Lords to amend a Bill before it goes to the House of Commons.
