Topical debate in the Commons on local and regional news focuses on the effect of the internet and the recession
Topical debates lasting 90 minutes usually take place in the Commons on a Thursday. They concentrate on issues of regional, national or international importance. Topical debates were introduced following recommendations made by the Modernisation Committee in 2007.
