House of Lords (Members’ Taxation Status) Bill

Members of the House of Lords discussed possible changes to the House of Lords (Members' Taxation Status) Bill during committee stage on 12 March. Amendments discussed covered clause 1 of the Bill.

Line by line examination of the Bill takes place during committee stage – every suggested change can be discussed and votes can happen. Any Member of the Lords can take part.

The Bill makes provision about the taxation status of Members of the House of Lords.
